The Dos and Don’ts of taking care of your realistic sex doll
A realistic sex doll is truly an investment purchase, so you’ll want to keep her in excellent condition to enjoy her for years to come. Luckily, the LOVE Team is here to give you our best advice on how to keep her looking good after every session.
DO: Keep your doll clean for your hygiene
- Clean the outside of your doll: Gently clean the entire surface of the doll with soap and a damp cloth. Then allow it to dry completely.
- Sprinkle talcum powder or cornstarch on the doll's skin to keep it soft and supple.
- Remove any stubborn stains: Apply an anti-stain cream (specially made for realistic dolls) and leave it on for the appropriate amount of time. Then rinse with water.
- Style your doll's hair: Brush her hair regularly to prevent tangles.
- Rinse out her orifices: Use an enema bulb after every session to rinse out the orifices and remove bodily fluids. Then use a moisture-absorbing stick to dry them completely. This will prevent bacteria from multiplying.
DON’T: Plunge your doll into water
You may be tempted to share your bath with your doll for some soapy fun. While this may seem like a tempting idea, it's actually a very bad one, as it could cause irreversible damage to the texture and appearance of your doll's skin.
Also, forget about bringing your doll into the jacuzzi or swimming pool with you: chlorinated or salty water will cause permanent damage to the doll’s skin as well.
DO: Dress up your doll
If you take good care of her, your silicone doll will become a true companion. So why not dress her up to give her, her own personality and make her your favourite partner?
For daytime, opt for a skirt or light dress, a little top and heels. For naughty evenings, dress her in sexy outfits: a nightgown, bustier or bodysuit will make your doll even sexier. Lingerie or naughty disguises will make her look even hotter.
DON’T: Dress your doll in dark colours
Light fabrics, on the other hand, are perfect for realistic dolls. If you really want your doll to wear a dark garment, remove it immediately after each use.
DO: Put a wig on your doll
Want to change your doll's appearance? Have her wear different wigs during every encounter, and you'll feel like you’re spending time with multiple partners! Your intimate sessions will be even more exciting and realistic. Dreaming of a beautiful blonde or a seductive brunette? Are you a fan of extravagant hairstyles, or do you prefer a more subtle cut? Anything is possible...it’s up to you to experiment and enjoy magical moments with your doll.

DON’T: Spray perfume directly on your doll
It is best to avoid using perfume on your doll as it can give her skin a permanently shiny look.
Nonetheless, if you’d like to create a sensual atmosphere in your bedroom, consider lighting some scented candles or spraying your perfume directly into the air. Essential oil diffusers are also a good option.
DO: Use water-based lubricant and a condom
Using a water-based lubricant (and definitely not a silicone-based one) will make penetration easier and protect the doll's orifice. Inject the lube into the orifice with a special lube injector. To make your session even more realistic, warm the doll's orifice slightly before your session with a USB-powered hole warmer.
Wearing a condom will make it easier to clean the orifice afterwards.
DON’T: Use a silicone-based lubricant
Silicone-based lubricants are incompatible with these types of toys, as they may damage the texture of your doll and, in the long term, reduce its lifespan. As we’ve previously mentioned, you should use a water-based formula instead.
DO: Find the perfect storage space
To protect your doll from prying eyes, keep her in her original packaging or store her carefully in a locked cupboard. The most important thing is to keep her away from dust, heat (which can damage her texture) and light (which can discolour her).
