Spread the word about breast cancer

Examining your own breasts is an important step in preventing breast cancer. This simple procedure, which you can do at home, can help detect early signs.
Look at your breasts
Look at your breasts: Look at your breasts closely in front of a mirror. Look for any changes in size, shape, colour, or skin texture.
Feel your breast

Feel your breast: Using your index, middle, and ring fingers, feel your breast and the area under your armpits. Move your fingers in a circular motion, starting from the outside of the breast and gradually moving inwards.

Check your nipple

Check your nipple: Gently squeeze each nipple between your thumb and forefinger to check for any unusual discharge.

Repeat the exam

Repeat the exam: Repeat the same steps for your other breast.

You should carry out a self-exam once a month, ideally about 3-5 days after your period starts. If you notice any abnormalities or have any doubts, see a doctor.

Remember, early detection can make all the difference.
